Jojoba (pronounced ho-HO-ba) oil is actually a liquid wax filtered from the seeds of the jojoba plant. Jojoba wax is an antioxidant and an antibacterial packed with minerals, fatty acids, and vitamins which are amazing for your skin. The wax is used throughout skin care to make products to help firm, hydrate, and reduce signs of aging to your skin. Jojoba oil is also very similar to human skin oils, so it can trick the skin into thinking it has produced enough oil and thus balance oil production, without promoting acne or other skin problems.
