Bullenbees Skin Tip of the Week:
A common question we get here at Bullenbees is about rosacea, and if we have any products and/or recommendations for natural treatments.
A great natural remedy for rosacea is a topical application of tea. If there is a small area that is more effected, a tea bag cooled enough to be applied to the skin can be placed right on the effected area. If there is a larger effected area, tea bags can be placed right into a bath tub for a healing soak. Green and white tea are loaded with antioxidants and polyphenols that have anti-inflammatory effects and have shown reduction in redness.
Bullenbees Concentrated Daily Vitamin Spread has several ingredients that are helpful for rosacea. Not only does it contain green tea, but also vitamin B3 (niacinamide) and caffeine. There is a high concentration of B3 in this cream which is especially effective at resolving many skin issues. However, a small number of people (~3%) have a higher sensitivity to B3, and sometimes can feel flush when applying it until they acquire a tolerance to the vitamin. If this occurs, it is recommended to reduce the concentration of the Daily Vitamin Spread by mixing it with another face cream until the tolerance to the vitamin increases.
